WHY WE LOVE IT

• This wine yeilds from the Toko Vineyard, Paraje Altamira, San Carlos county, Uco Valley.
• Cabernet Franc is a varietal which loves limestone soils. In its famous home of St. Emiion, it is planted on the calcareous hilltops and makes up the dominant part of the blend in great harvests.

Varietal Composition: 100% Cabernet Franc

Elaboration: The soils of Altamira are strewn with limestone soil patches, complete with white surface stones. This is where we have planted our Cabernet Franc. With different harvest times, each date produces a distinct profile of aromas, flavors and textures to add to the final blend: floral and herbal notes in the early harvest; dark, ripe red fruits and supple textures in the middle dates, and finely grained, well-structured tannins in the later harvests.

Tasting Notes: A firm and silky wine with juicy and dense fruit and intense berry and tobacco character. Full body and a flavorful finish. A little rustic.
