A field blend of Carmenere from The Dragon Vineyard and Cab. Franc from Peach Tree Lane, mostly whole cluster fermentation and raised in neutral french oak barrels. This is such a phenomenal wine and redeems Carmenere in my book. Dark juicy fruit with lots of high-toned floral and resinous aromatic and the peppery side beautifully melds into the crushed blackberries and tart black plum. Dark, tart, and mineral.
