Wine growers since 2012, their 10 hectares farm is composed of vines, meadows, orchards, and hedgerows following the organic agriculture specifications. Located between Faye d'Anjou and Beaulieu sur Layon, they work on 7 vine plots with 4 different varieties. Their main focus is on Chenin, Pineau d'Aunis, and Grolleau varieties but they also produce some Cabernet Franc to a lesser extent.
Handmade harvest, selected grapes in the vines (no rotten in the press), slow vertical pressuring, indigenous yeast for fermentation, and the juices are moved by gravity. Without intervention, the wines spend 12 months with their dregs and are put in bottles without filtration or sulfite. Red grapes are foot-pressed full grapes in a maceration vat. Depending on the year, the maceration is between 8 and 15 days in an opened tank with a little daily hand pressing. White grapes go directly to the press and the juice goes to the barrel. Between the vines and the bottle, no product or additive is used. Their wines are only grapes juices 100%.
A lightly sparkling orange Chenin Blanc. Aromatic and refreshing! Harvest by hand from older 45+-year-old vines, skin-fermented with indigenous yeasts. 12 months on the lees in old barriques. Juices are moved by gravity, as Deboutbertin uses no machinery. Zero intervention: no filtration, no added sulfur. Organic.
