Caparsa is a vineyard run by Paolo Cianferoni and his big family since 1982. The winery is totally organic certified, both in the fields and in the cellar. Sangiovese is the main grape in Caparsa, which is located in Radda in the Chianti area, may be one of the most charming and beautiful areas in the world and one of the highest-quality wine production areas too. Caparsa wines have a unique and unmistakable acid tone, where the bouquet and the tannins come out at their authentic terroir. That's the reason Caparsa's wines have a very long life.
The Chianti Classico Riserva "Caparsino" 2017 is the most famous wine of Caparsa: the first vintage produced was in 1982. This wine is produced from hand-picked Sangiovese grapes and is aged in oak barrels, more or less for a long time according to the vintage, in this case about 8 months. The 2017 vintage, particularly hot, produced a wine of medium-high structure, fine and already pleasant from the date of bottling with prevalent aromas of dark fruit, but which in the finish light up with more red fruit colours. The selection of grapes in the areas of the vineyards most protected from the sun gave results of absolute excellence in this hot year. Caparsa offers its admirers a spontaneous, authentic, and prestigious Chianti Classico di Radda in Chianti wine.
